Hinkley Point worker bus overturns injuring 54
A bus carrying workers to Hinkley Point in Somerset has overturned in icy conditions injuring 54 of the 70 onboard.

The incident, which took place at 6am on the A39, was carrying construction workers to their shift when it reportedly swerved to avoid a motorcylist.
Emergency services – which included the Air Ambulance – worked to release passengers trapped in the vehicle.
Following a triage site set up at the scene, 24 of the injured were sent to hospital for further treatment.
Construction began on the nuclear power plant in 2017 – one of eight commissioned by the UK Government – and is expected to be completed in 2027.
