IOT firm Sonodot rebrands as Logidot

Arco Innovation Award winning company has undergone a name change and rebrand.

ControlTower - LogidotLogidot, formerly Sonodot, has undergone a rebrand. The Industrial IOT firm, which was the winner of the 2019 Arco Innovation Award, has undergone a name change.

It combines low cost plug&play tracking sensors with a real-time intelligence platform, working as a stand-alone technology or integrating into a warehouse or manufacturers management system giving operators and managers actionable data to continuously improve performance.

Following the recent rebrand, the firm has secured funding from UK Research and Innovation’s Innovate UK grant scheme for business-led innovation in response to global disruption. Logidot’s winning project will support the continued development of a Smart Warehousing solution to improve the health and safety and performance of warehouse employees amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The competition attracted around 20,000 applications awarding only a handful of winners in logistics and manufacturing even as essential warehouse workers have reported social distancing concerns and the UK logistics and warehousing industries are already under intense strain. With companies trying to maintain efficiency to keep up with growing consumer demand and the need to deliver critical healthcare supplies, the importance of improving the supply chain with IOT solutions has never been more urgent. The grant will be used to further develop Logidot’s Smart Warehouse Solution helping warehouse operators and manufacturers during the pandemic.

Logidot Founder Dr. Niccolo Corsini said: “COVID-19 has highlighted the essential role played by the UK warehousing and manufacturing sectors to keep vital supplies flowing in the midst of a crisis. We are honoured to have been recognised as an innovative solution to help companies adapt to this current disruption.”

The firm has also announced that it is participating in WebSummit 2020 where it will announce the launch of its new generation real-time location sensors which combine UWB, IMU, and GPS technology with machine learning models for seamless indoor and outdoor asset tracking in warehouses and factories.
