Free Information – Workplace stress

The website includes updated guidance and focuses on the Management Standards for workplace stress. The Standards highlight the components of good organisation, job design, and management – all of which can help to keep stress levels in check and enhance productivity. The site also features Management-Standards tools, including a self-assessment questionnaire for line managers, and examples of good practice that have been successful for other companies. The Executive has created the website after figures revealed that 13.5 million days were lost due to stress. Head of the HSE Health and Work Division, Peter Brown, said: “This new website will enable employers to easily access the information they need to prevent stress in their workplace.“The revised Stress Management-Standards tools can help any organisation successfully manage work-related stress. Company directors and human resources managers need to take the lead on dealing with stress in the workplace. Stress is costly, and following these standards could help reduce the impact on your business.”For more information please visit the website at www.hse.gov.uk/stress
