When with HSE I saw the testing of FAE at HSL in Derbyshire.
It is quite alarming to think that some of the kit used and clearly showing failure of retention and adequate impact absorbtion can be brought on the open market.
And continued adoption of questionable testing will not eradicate associated risk.
The adoption of FAE is last resort, it should therefore be tested to the maximum to ensure its effectiveness as a last resort.
I fail to see the validity in undermining this need?
