Site safety – Hozelock

Specialist hose manufacturer Hozelock recently launched a range of fluorescent-orange heavy-duty hose products specifically designed to reduce trip hazards on building sites.

Trailing hosepipes are always a potential hazard but they are also essential for concrete mixing, bucket filling, equipment and surface cleaning, plumbing work and many other site jobs, says Hozelock.

Said to have been designed to withstand all the rigours of building site usage, the four-layer braided Maxi Hi-Vis hose has a 9-bar working pressure specification, while burst pressure is rated at 27 bar. Bearing clear graphics to identify it as a water-carrying hose, its thick yet flexible outer PVC layer is highly resistant to scuffs and abrasions – even if repeatedly run over by heavy plant – and the hose remains fully flexible in temperatures ranging from –15 to +60ºC, says Hozelock.
