Capital Safety creates global wind-energy team
Capital Safety, whose brands include the DBI-Sala and Protecta fall-protection equipment ranges, has created a global wind-energy team to meet growing demand in the renewable energies sector.
The company’s global wind-energy director Oliver Hirschfelder explained: “There is real growth potential in the wind-energy sector at present. We are working hard to keep up with demand in China and India at present, as these countries become increasingly energy hungry. The drive towards more renewable energy sources is also expanding demand for our wind-energy fall-protection expertise, significantly in Germany, Denmark, the UK and Spain at the present time.”
With a wide range of fall-protection equipment, and more planned specifically for the wind-energy sector in 2011, such as the ExoFit NEX Wind harness, Capital Safety believes it is well-placed to meet the increasing demand for safety products and training in this sector.
Explaining the reasons behind the new set-up, Hirschfelder, said: “Over the past five years we have been working with OEMs in the wind-energy sector on a project-by-project basis, advising them on their safety requirements.
“We have chosen to set up a global Capital Safety wind-energy team, as we have found that it is essential to have safety experts who know the issues that OEMs are facing in each specific region. With this in mind, our team of highly-trained wind-energy safety experts has been created, and includes representatives in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.”
Capital Safety says its specialist wind-energy team is experienced in working with both onshore and offshore wind farms. For more information, visit www.capitalsafety.com or contact: [email protected]
