Anchorage points – RUD Chains

RUD Chains Ltd, a subsidiary of Germany-based Rieger & Dietz GmbH, offers an extensive range of lifting and lashing systems, which are said to include both welded and threaded types, covering a working load-capacity range from 0.6 to 200 tonnes.

The PSA Fall-Protection Anchorage Points, PSA-VRS (Star-Point) and PSA INOX-Star are not traditional lifting points, says the firm. Rather, they are designed to attach permanently to structures for which fall protection is required.

The INOX-Star is said to offer many distinctive features, including the following: a 50-per-cent higher working-load limit compared with the DIN eye bolt; the ability for it to be turned and adjusted to any load direction; and high resistance to corrosion.

Meanwhile, the PSA Star-Point is said to be  crack-inspected, according to EN 1677-1. RUD Chains also warns that the VRS-PSA should not be used permanently outdoors; for such an application, it recommends the PSA-INOX-Star.
According to RUD Chains, the PSA Fall-Protection Anchorage Points have been certified by the Employers Liability Insurance Association in Germany and the construction industry trade association, BG Bau.
