Well done – Building Safety Group rewards top site managers
Construction site managers from all over the country were celebrating earlier this month after being presented with a health and safety award from the Building Safety Group Ltd.
This is the tenth year that the BSG has run the awards and the Group says the competition to win one is as fierce as ever, given that its safety advisors carry out more than 55,000 site inspections a year.
Among this year’s winners were Richard Wilson, of Summerfield Developments (SW) Ltd, for his safe and effective management of a site at Compass Hill in Taunton; Dave Johnston, of Barnwood Construction Ltd, for his management of Building 300 at Frimley Business Park; and Steven Ferguson,of Knox & Wells Ltd, for his involvement in the construction of a two-storey Aircraft Maintenance Centre at the University of Glamorgan (pictured).
Michael Setter, BSG chairman, commented: “It is a considerable achievement to be the recipient of one of these awards and I offer my warmest congratulations to each of the winners. A safe site is often a profitable site, which is in everyone’s best interests.”
