Thermal workwear – Arco BaseLayer range

Wearing the correct garments to keep you warm when working in cold conditions is essential, says Arco, which has introduced a new BaseLayer range made from HydroBase®, described as a breathable, 100-per-cent polyester fabric unique to Arco.

It includes full-leg pant, and long and short-sleeve t-shirts, all said to be suitable for a variety of applications in all seasons. Each BaseLayer garment is made from three layers, which work together to pull the sweat to the outside layer. According to Arco, this expels the feeling of coldness that you can get when you sweat and helps avoid ‘skin cling’ that can happen with other fabrics. The inner layer has been brushed so that it feels soft and comfortable against the skin.

The company adds that HydroBase is a durable fabric designed to last, so is ideal for tough working conditions. The garments are colourfast to saltwater, sun and chlorine and retain their shape when washed.

The HydroBase fabric is embedded with silver ions, which are said to suppress bacterial growth responsible for bad smells and provide 99.9 per cent protection against hazardous organisms. The garments also provide  SPF50+ sun protection, says Arco, so are useful for those working outside, such as on construction sites. To find out more, go to www.arco.co.uk/baselayer
