Vital ID, the specialist leisure and industrial ID company, is launching its new Hard Hat Safety ID product in the UK construction industry.
The product contains vital personal and medical information, which, Vital ID says, can be easily accessed by first-line attendees or medics in the event of an accident, or sickness at the work site. The information provided helps deliver rapid and appropriate medical assistance, as well as confirming the identification of the individual concerned, and their family contact details.
The personal information in the Hard Hat Safety ID is provided at the discretion of the individual and is said to be protected by a tamper-resistant feature. The ID tag adheres to the hard hat and is described as highly visible, even in low light conditions.
Vital ID says the product is already part of the health and safety regime in the Canadian construction industry in three states.
The Hard Hat Safety ID product launched in the UK this month contains a number of enhancements and refinements based on collaboration with the health and safety team at Costain.
