Safety helmet – JSP Mk 7 Hi-Temp 150
JSP is introducing a new helmet that can be used in environments where radiated heat exceeds 150˚C and still conforms to the lateral deformation tests of standard EN397. The helmet joins the Mk 7 range of JSP helmets, and will be called the Mk 7 Hi-Temp 150.
JSP says it has been developing the Hi-Temp 150 for two years, and researched many materials in order to create a helmet that achieves the best safety performance while remaining comfortable and effective. The engineering grade of polyamide chosen exceeds the requirements of EN397, and, when used with a JSP 24-carat gold-coated reflective visor, is said to give effective head and face protection for workers in the likes of iron and steel foundries, and chemicals and glass manufacturing. The helmet weighs 450g and includes a sweatband, and optional slip or wheel-ratchet harness.
