Safety footwear – U-Power footwear

Italian company U-Power says all its safety footwear products have been complying with the new European Standard for safety footwear, which was introduced in June, for more than a year.
While recognising that the European Commission still allows products that are non-compliant with this standard to continue to be sold if already on the market, U-Power nonetheless insists that its footwear gives complete peace of mind that the latest standard is already being met.
The new standard (EN ISO 20345:2011), which contains updated requirements and new tests on anti-puncture mid-soles, was developed because of concerns related to earlier versions of the standards. U-Power says the necessary tests specified by the EC under the latest standard presented it no difficulty, as it already complied with, and exceeded, the requirements set.
U-Power also highlights that it recently opened a new base in the UK, with fully-stocked warehouse facilities offering a 24-hour turnaround service. With a choice of 130 different styles, the range of footwear is said to offer a combination of Italian design, all-day comfort, innovation, technology, flexibility, and high-quality materials.
