Safety eyewear – Specsavers Corporate Eyecare semi-rigid case

Specsavers Corporate Eyecare is introducing a new style of larger, semi-rigid case for its range of safety eyewear.

The company says the new cases will be large enough to accommodate all sizes of safety frames, including the recently-launched larger-sized Tudor frame. The cases have features that allow them to be attached to a belt, so that employees are less likely to lose their glasses, or not wear them purely because they are not to hand.

No matter how carefully safety eyewear is looked after, says Specsavers, lenses should be replaced at least every three years and frames within five years. Director of strategic alliances Jim Lythgow adds: “Our research has shown that 39 per cent of companies believe safety glasses have a typical lifespan of just one year. Employers replacing glasses as often as this will be spending more time and money than necessary on their safety eyewear.”
