Goliath Footwear says it has integrated new intelligent technology ‘d3o™’ into its new metatarsal protective boot to provide superior flexibility and freedom of movement for a boot of this type.
d3o™ is described as a material with ‘intelligent’ molecules that flow with the wearer as they move but, on shock, lock together to absorb the impact energy. Goliath has included it in its Met-Pro style to meet the needs of those exposed to dangerous drop hazards, such as workers handling gas bottles, beer kegs, and those involved in heavy engineering.
The company says the ‘intelligent’ material has been integrated within the front overflap of the boot to provide additional metatarsal protection, and more freedom of movement than if wearing a conventional met guard.
Met-Pro is also said to benefit from dual-density rubber sole technology, as well as a steel toe-cap and midsole, and a ridged rubber scuff cap for all-round protection.
