Rock Fall (UK) Ltd – Tomcat footwear

Rock Fall exhibited its Tomcat range of Total Protection Footwear at SHE 10, which is said to be the first to incorporate internal metatarsal protection to meet European S3 safety standards.

The Derbyshire-based footwear designer and manufacturer says the boots were developed through extensive research and testing, and replace the traditionally heavy, uncomfortable, unsightly and expensive boots currently on the market. According to the company, the range exceeds EN ISO 20345:2004/A1 2007. Its main design feature is the patented, integral metatarsal protector – described as a lightweight, flexible inner plate that protects the wearer’s fragile metatarsal bones from impact. It also protects the user’s toes and sole with a metal toecap and steel mid-sole.

Rock Fall says its unique ‘Activ-step’ foot-bed provides supreme comfort, while the boots’ rubber outsoles are able to withstand heat up to 3000C. More details are at www.rockfall.co.uk
