Respiratory protection – JSP Typhoon fold-flat mask

JSP say its disposable Typhoon fold-flat mask has a unique overflow valve system that creates minimal breathing resistance and reduces internal heat, CO2 and moisture build-up, allowing the mask to be worn for long periods without tiring the wearer.

JSP adds that a 360° comfort-foam area around the inside of the mask provides an excellent fit factor and prevents misting; a welded nose piece prevents irritation and mis-shaping; and a latex-free adjustable strap means the mask can be fitted to all head sizes and shapes.

The distinctive valve ensures that when the diaphragm opens, exhaled air that would normally be trapped under the upper section of the cage, obstructing further exhalation, can escape through additional overflow vents, assuring minimum breathing resistance. JSP points out that the diaphragm is made of silicone, which is not affected by any moisture, allowing the mask to be used with the same high performance even under very low temperatures.

The Typhoon is said to conform to EN149:2001+A1:2009 and comes in a range of individually packaged models.
