Protective workwear- uvex sil-Wear

A new line of high-performance disposable coveralls has been launched by uvex. Marketed as uvex sil-Wear, the range can be used in diverse applications, including industrial cleaning, work with paints, varnish and chemicals, and in environments containing hazardous biological agents.

The uvex sil-Wear type 3B is said to ensure a highly protective barrier against biological agents and a wide range of chemicals. The company says its AgPURE active layer provides surfaces with a bacteriostatic coating to protect them against bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Also said to protect against a wide range of chemicals, the Type 3 features a two-layered zipper flap with Velcro and adhesive tapes for safety at the critical points, and a system for attaching the mask for optimum face coverage.

Finally, the Type 5/6 is made of light polyethylene laminate, which, the firm says, gives a high level of moisture management and breathability without reducing protection. For more details, go to www.uvex-safety.com or e-mail Clair Stephens on [email protected]
