Protective workwear – GORE-TEX garment range
Special Wear (UK) Limited says its new range of personal protective garments is designed for ambulance personnel who rely on high-performance and hard-wearing uniforms to help protect them in their daily duties.
The GORE-TEX® garment range consists of three GORE-TEX® jackets and one trouser design, all of which, says Special Wear, are water-resistant, highly breathable and wind-resistant. The garments are also said to meet the European standards EN343 – for foul weather protection – and EN471 – for professional high-visibility warning clothing.
According to the company, all items in the range offer high levels of comfort and, thanks to their durability, represent good value for money. It adds that the range is fully infection-control compliant and the garments are able to maintain their integrity throughout for more than 25 wash cycles at a temperature of 60O.
