New website offers SMEs free risk-assessment guidance
Cardinus Risk Management has launched a new website for SMEs, which offers a range of free information and guidance on managing risks in the workplace.
The website features free guidelines, reports, checklists and forms, policy advice and white papers. There is a large amount of documents, which are designed to help visitors risk-manage more generic operations, such as warehousing, retailing, and general office environments. There are also specific guides for fire safety, ergonomics, and manual handling. All of the guides and documents are free and can be downloaded from the website.
Cardinus Risk Management chief executive, Andy Hawkes, revealed that the aim of the website is to provide an easy-to-navigate online resource for SMEs. He said: “We know that a small or medium-sized enterprise needs to stay focused in order to be efficient and grow. It’s not that they don’t know or care about health and safety; they’re just very busy already, doing what they do.
“Recognising this, Cardinus has created a range of products and services designed to make risk management easy and affordable for even the smallest businesses. To support these products we have taken the unprecedented step of sharing a large amount of our expertise with any small business that comes to our website. Parts of the site are aimed at specific trades and activities, where our experience has shown specific advice is required.
