Management Software – iPointlive

 

 

Midlands-based technology firm iPointlive have launched new software, which it says enables businesses to monitor, manage and protect mobile employees directly via their mobile phones.

According to the company, the Mobile Employee Management software is one of the first fully-automated apps on the market to turn GPS-enabled phones into monitoring devices.

Using cloud-based software, iPointlive says the software can accurately record and analyse where employees are and have been throughout their working day. It also says the software can differentiate between an employee travelling on foot, or in a vehicle.

By providing this information, iPointlive says companies can not only offer increased protection to employees but can provide an accurate audit trail to customers showing contracted duties have been carried out and completed.

The software is said to provide accurate location information via Google Maps, eliminating the need to call employees while they are driving. It is also said to have the ability to monitor inappropriate driving behaviour, such as speeding, making and receiving calls or texting while driving, which can then be challenged and prevented in the future.

Additionally, iPointlive says that as soon as an employee’s working day ends their movements are no longer monitored. They become invisible to the system and do not appear again until their next shift begins.
