JSP Ltd has launched what it describes as the first high-performance, side-impact industrial safety helmet to meet the new EN14052 standard.
Called the EVO8, the helmet is said to protect against forces three times harsher than those defined by the standard EN397, and it protects the head from side impact, as well as from severe impact to the crown.
The EVO8 is designed for the highest-risk environments, such as mining and tunnelling, demolition, construction, refinery, marine and offshore working. JSP says it features a high-density liner and a comfortable new harness design, which create unparalleled wearer comfort. Some emergency services now have helmets that meet the new European standard, but JSP says it is the only company to manufacture an industrial helmet that meets the standard.
