Hand protection – Puretough P Series of gloves
Providing workers and managers with a simple and effective visual guide to specifying the right level of cut protection for the hazards encountered in the workplace is the focus of a new initiative launched by hand and arm protection specialist, Marigold Industrial® Ltd.
The company has launched a colour-coded indicator ‘dot’ on the back of its Puretough P Series, with three colours signifying a level of cut protection: green (safe) – cut level 1-2; amber (caution) – cut level 3-4; and red (danger) – cut level 5. According to Marigold, the new Indicator System™ lets the user know instantly what level of cut protection is being provided by the gloves and ensures that it is the right level to protect against the hazards being encountered.
The new Puretough™ P Series comprises three knitted gloves – the P1100, P3000 and P5000 – and combines comfort, flexibility and grip, as well as offering mechanical protection, in particular cut level 5 from the P5000, and cut level 3 from the P3000, explains Marigold.
