Available from Campbell Associates, new CVK gloves are said to provide easy in-situ measurements, allowing employers to collect real-life measurements of workers’ vibration levels, rather than relying on manufacturers’ data, which may be inaccurate.
The gloves are said to take into account the way in which equipment is held during use, as well as allowing businesses to spot any deterioration of such equipment in the workplace.
According to the firm, the gloves provide: single or dual simultaneous measurements of hand-arm vibration on both hands; wireless connection to a data-collection device; and visual display of vibration on a colour LED display. The system can also be connected to a seat pad for measuring whole-body vibration.
