Hand protection – Arco Waste Recycling Glove
Workers in the waste recycling industry are exposed to many hazardous situations, says Arco, from contact with sharp objects to chemical spills and exposure to harmful liquids.
To address these and other risks to workers in this sector, the company suggests its Arco Waste Recycling Glove. Described as a multifunctional glove that combines the latest technologies in mechanical, liquid and chemical protection with high resistance to cuts and abrasions, the glove is also suitable for the offshore oil and gas, chemicals, manufacturing and industrial engineering sectors.
According to Arco, the glove has been designed to be reversible in configuration to provide greater mechanical protection for the chemicalresistant neoprene shell, should the working environment demand this.
If the predominant hazard is sharps, but with a risk of fluid spill, then the glove can be worn with the cut barrier on the outside and chemical barrier on the inside. Conversely, if the predominant risk is a chemical/fluid spill, but with a risk of cut, then the liquid barrier can be worn on the outside with cut protection on the inside.
The glove incorporates Cut Gripz liner technology, which is said to give the product the maximum level of cut performance possible (Level 5) and the highest level of abrasion resistance possible (Level 4).

If I have understood correctly this is a reversible glove. great idea in theory, however, I would have concerns around reversing the glove for different protection and then being exposed to risk of chemical contaminents on the glove or likewise risk of exposing sharp materials possibly retained on the cut protection side against hands / skin.
Most people would not go out of their way to wash / clean the PPE between tasks, they would simply reverse them which could increase the Risk of Injury
