RUD chains offers a variety of shoe chains for traction on snow and ice.

 

According to RUD, the I-Sock is a lightweight, easy to fit, robust safety product, which straps on to your boot and can be worn while driving. The company says they are suitable for everyone from the emergency and delivery services to the elderly and general public.

 

The RUD BERGSTEIGER shoe chains are said to be made from welded high grade steel — and are suitable, according to RUD, for hikers, mountain trekkers and other outdoor activities. They are said to be easy to attach, self-cleaning, and can be easily stowed away in your pocket.

 

Also suited for hikers and trekkers are the RUD ALPIN shoe chains, which RUD describes as fitted with ultra-light, quick fit crampons. The company says the chains offer front crampons with the ‘flex’ system, which prevents the unwanted accumulation of snow and ice. They also have a steel hoop on the shoe’s tip to provide stability. They are said to be suitable for ice, mud and slippery surfaces due to the steel tip system.

 

RUD is also offering the RUD WALK shoe chain, which are said to be practical, light and easy to fit on a variety of footwear. They are said to offer a great degree of safety and traction due to the steel tips. They are available in five sizes and are also available for kids.
