Face Protection – Honeywell

Honeywell Safety Products, a provider of head-to-toe personal protective equipment solutions, launched its Turboshield, a new face protection system, at the A+A trade show in Düsseldorf last month.

According to its manufacturer, the system delivers superior comfort for longer wear, the easiest visor exchange available, improved protection and optimal balance when worn with a hard hat. The face protection system includes headgear, a hard hat adaptor and replacement visors all sold separately.

The Turboshield platform is perfect for workers who are exposed to falling or flying objects, impact, splash and airborne debris.

The headgear has a patented, flexible suspension cradle that Honeywell says provides 300 per cent more contact area than traditional suspensions and eliminates pressure points for all-day wear.

A patent-pending, secure, push-button release system enables easy visor exchange in seconds. Large, ergonomic adjustment knobs allow end-users to achieve a personalised, comfortable fit — even while wearing protective gloves.

An integrated brim guard ensures a gap-free fit and added protection from overhead debris, says Honeywell.

The company adds that the Turboshield system is certified to the requirements of the EN166 standards.

Please can you let me know if you do a visor that retrofits onto hardhats I have had issues with this as I often find that there is no universal brackets to fit all types of hardhats then when I do find the correct brackets I have to replace all the Sheilds as well, unfortunately we use 4 different types of hats each with a different type of socket for the visor brackets

Many Thanks
