ASE Corporate Eyecare has launched a new range of innovative protective eyeshields with prescription inserts.
Designed by Swiss One Safety, the range is said to be glazed to the highest European optical standards by a highly-acclaimed manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses.
The premium polycarbonate Equinox eye shield is manufactured to BSEN 166IF, and ASE says it incorporates a smart design with an eyeshield, giving wide wraparound protection for clarity of vision. The lens curvature has been calculated to optimise vision when combined with a prescription insert.
The brow guard in soft foam improves impact absorption and comfort without the need for side shields, says the company, while the prescription insert can be easily clicked in and out of the frame. If damage occurs, ASE says it will often be the less expensive frame that needs replacing, rather than the glazed optical insert.
ASE offers an intranet-based EyecarePortal scheme for employees to access the eyewear, and a simple ‘pay as you go’ all-inclusive price of £59 for a fixed-power range, for a safety eyeshield and a pair of single, bifocal, or vari-focal prescription inserts.
