Eyecare – Centurion’s BoxOptix

Described as a hassle-free, safety eyecare solution for prescription spectacle wearers, Centurion’s BoxOptix is an ‘all-in-one box’ solution for employers and employees, where all costs are paid upfront.

Included in the price is a sight test and dispensing fee for fitting a choice of either single-vision, bifocal, or varifocal insert lenses.

The company says its stylish, wraparound Harrier safety spectacles come with an indoor/outdoor semi-mirrored coating, providing a low level of tint for outdoor use, which helps reduce glare.

The temple pivot system provides angle adjustment for a close, individual fit, adds Centurion. With a hard, anti-scratch coating as standard on the polycarbonate lenses and prescription insert lenses, the spectacles are also described as durable and practical, especially in dusty environments.

Upon purchasing BoxOptix safety spectacles, customers are advised to follow three easy steps:

  • Log on to to locate your nearest affiliated optician and book an appointment;
  • Take the BoxOptix box and all its contents to the optician, who will perform your eyesight test and arrange the glazing of the lenses;
  • Revisit the optician at a later date to collect your BoxOptix Harrier spectacles with your prescription lens insert fitted.

The spectacles are suitable for use within the construction, manufacturing, transport, storage and utilities industries.
