Compliance and certification supplier the Alcumus Group has expanded its services with the acquisition of HR and health and safety outsourcing company Drury PSM.
According to Alcumus, the acquisition of Drury will augment the compliance and workplace risk-management expertise of the Alcumus Group, which includes the operating subsidiaries Sypol, Info Exchange and ISOQAR.
Health and safety services provided by Bradford-based Drury include H&S audits, risk assessments, training and policy development. It also gives advice and guidance on complex compliance issues via 24-hour advice lines, and provides an online tool, ‘Essentials Online’, which enables clients to access their working documentation and manage day-to-day HR and health and safety matters via the Drury website.
Commenting on the acquisition, Martin Smith, Alcumus’ group chief executive, said: “We have followed and known Drury for a number of years, and are delighted to have been able to acquire such an established brand and quality provider of services for the growing HR and H&S compliance market.
“The business has an excellent reputation for quality service and advice and this is reflected in its customer retention rates and continued growth in new clients.”

Chris Whittam, who has more than 17 years’ experience of the HR and health and safety compliance and advice market, joins the business in the new role of director of Drury PSM.
