JSP Ltd says it has launched the first high-performance, side-impact industrial safety helmet to meet the European Standard EN14052.
Called the EVO8, the helmet will, according to JSP, protect against forces three times harsher than those defined by the EN397 standard and safeguard the head from side impacts, as well as from severe impact to the crown of the helmet.
Designed for the highest-risk environments, such as mining and tunnelling, demolition, construction, refinery, marine and offshore working, the helmet is said to protect against impacts that may otherwise result in brain injury, skull fractures, and neck injury.
Other products on display will be the EN166 eye-protection and FMP2 respiratory-protection combination product, Filterspec; the Necprotech neck-protection system; and the Forceflex safety spectacles.
