The company behind the health and safety incident reporting app NotifyIt has announced expansion plans.

The North Tyneside-based firm Notify Technology has recently appointed Liz Alexander as Head of Finance and Liam Black as Junior Support Developer.

In addition, the company has revealed it is set to recruit an additional five members of staff within its Business Development and Customer Success teams as part of a three-year growth plan.

The NotifyIt app is available on both the App Store and Google Play store and currently has users in 50 different countries.

It allows users to record incidents, accidents and near misses in seconds via their smart phone and a secure website.

Notify’s smart platform ensures items are tracked through to resolution, giving companies the data they need to track trends and educate workers.

It is currently being used by a variety of clients, from builder merchant chain Travis Perkins to smaller engineering firms.

“We use digital technology in so many areas of our personal and working lives, yet health and safety was an area that felt way behind,” said Chief Executive, Duncan Davies.

“It seemed obvious that we should use our expertise in mobile, data and Internet of Things to develop a platform that will make going to work safer for everyday people, helping to cut accidents and reduce risk for organisations around the world.

“It’s really inspiring to see so many businesses embrace our technology, despite Notify being only 12 months old, and I’m thrilled to welcome our new starters to the team, as each will play a huge part in making the Notify #SafetyRevolution a reality.”
