Nominations for the 2024 SHP Rising Star Award are now being accepted.
The SHP Rising Star Award, part of the wider SHP Awards programme, recognises young health and safety professionals, across all sectors, going above and beyond to improve occupational health, safety and/or workplace wellbeing in the UK. Entrants can nominate themselves or a colleague peer or mentee.
This year there will be only one overall Rising Star named, rather than in specific disciplines as in previous awards, so make sure your entry really does stand out.
Criteria, guidance and advice for entrants
Aimed at young health and safety professionals starting out in their career, judges will be looking for entrants to demonstrate commitment, drive and passion to their role. Where appropriate, they would like to see tangible examples of initiative taken and to demonstrate this passion, commitment and drive.
2023’s Rising Star winner, Samantha Cartwright said: “My advice for those of you applying to be 2024’s winner is simple: let your passion shine through!
“Show us your motivations for doing what you do, and the impact you want to have on workplace health, safety & wellbeing. Best of luck to all applicants & I can’t wait to read your submissions.”
