Duncan’s 30-year career has spanned large, global companies to medium-sized and start-up organisations, mostly within Technology. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, before moving to Sage plc as the business entered the FTSE-100. His roles within Sage included a number of M&A projects as well as commercial finance positions.

In 2004 Duncan moved to an IT Services business, becoming Finance Director and leading on over 20 acquisitions as part of a buy-and-build strategy .As a consultant Duncan advised a number of high growth tech startups, spending time in the fields of Internet of Things (IoT) Big Data, Autonomous Vehicles and Machine Learning. He co-founded Innovation of Things Limited in 2015, to patent AI-based driver identification software.

He is now co-founder and CEO of Notify Technology, an organisation on a global mission to make a billion people safer and healthier at work. Notify’s award winning software platform has been used to report over a million safety events, audits, actions and risk assessments, and is looking to harness the power of AI to help businesses dynamically understand and measure the likelihood of safety, health and environmental risks.

He prides himself on establishing simple safety management systems that fit with the organisational priorities, so leaders can devote their time and energy where it really matters – demonstrating leadership and safe behaviours to engage all colleagues with the safety vision.

Chris is a senior health, safety, sustainability, and wellbeing leader with extensive experience of leadership team role leading and directing within the construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, and service industries.

He is passionate about digitalisation and business improvement particularly involving our people and stakeholders in realising safety, health, wellbeing, and sustainability performance and development are achieved together.

Chris has extensive experience of delivering exceptional safe and sustainable performance across multiple continental locations in demanding and challenging environments which have significant and complex risks.

He operates with both a strategic and practical approach to Safe, Sustainability & Wellbeing which ensure not only is the business protected from a legal/ contractual standpoint but also ensures that employees and contractors are able to deliver works safely through clear, relevant and understandable processes.
