Training – Connexion2 self-teach workbooks

Aware that many companies find it difficult to get lone workers together in large groups for face-to face training, lone worker-solutions provider, Connexion2, has launched a series of three Self Teach Workbooks: ‘Covering Lone Worker Safety’, ‘Managing Conflict in the Workplace Through Communication’ and ‘Managing Conflict in the Workplace through Personal Awareness’.

The company says the workbooks help organisations educate lone workers while retaining control and flexibility. They can be distributed easily to staff and coordinated for all group sizes. Managers of lone workers can implement and coordinate training without incurring additional costs or lost time, while the employees themselves can undertake training in their own time. For larger numbers of workers, the Self-Teach Workbooks can also be branded in line with a company’s own corporate communications requirements, and they can be designed to be sector or industry specific.

Connexion2 says the Self-Teach Workbooks are structured to provide Q&A throughout and at the end there is a tet with a sign-off form, so the worker and manager can confirm completion. All Workbooks take approximately an hour to complete, and can be undertaken as and when time permits. Upon completion, the lone worker should be able to identify potential risks to themselves or others within their working environment, and to competently and confidently implement strategies to mitigate those risks. The Workbooks are designed to provide comprehensive support in respect of all aspects of lone worker protection, which is not reliant on the implementation of technology alone.
