Ropesafe says it has developed a product that can prevent a fatal accident from happening in the scaffold industry.
When scaffold materials slip out of the rope due to the rope being wet, tied incorrectly or materials hitting the scaffold on the way up or down, the worker has no control over the falling object(s), which can be lethal and even fatal.
According to the manufacturer, the ‘Ropesafe’ allows the user to attach 99 per cent of scaffold materials to the device using a spanner, therefore substantially reducing the risk of an accident.
