3M will offer an introduction to Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) in the next instalment of its Safety Spotlight Webinar Series.
The science-based technology company will host the third free webinar of its 2017 series from 12.00 noon to 12.45pm today (2 March).
The webinar will be led by Alan McArthur, UK technical services supervisor for the 3M Personal Safety division.
Alan will discuss broad respiratory hazards and their associated health effects; the hierarchy of control and the part RPE can play; and the main types of RPE available and how their protectiveness is represented and demonstrated.
The webinar will be relevant to a broad range of industries, and aimed at everyone from employers and health and safety managers to workers.
During and after the presentation, which will be broadcast live online, participants will be able to ask questions in real time.
The webinar will be the first part of a two-part series, with the second part covering the topic at a more advanced level on 26 April.
