Machine guarding- TP and STP safety switches
Euchner says its range of TP and STP safety switches helps ensure compliance of individual machines and production installations with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC due to come into force in December this year.
The standard range is said to be designed to ensure that guard devices can’t be opened with machines in operation, and remain closed until all hazardous moving parts have become static. These switches are provided as an option with a manual emergency-release mechanism.
The switches can be adapted to prevent unintentional locking-in of personnel within an individual machine, or machining-cell enclosure. Switches can also incorporate a flexible Bowden cable for escape or emergency release of the guard-locking mechanism. Visit www.euchner.com for more information.
