Is an AED part of your health and safety plan?

Your company has a health and safety plan with hand sanitisers and PPE (personal protective equipment), but does it include an automated external defibrillator (AED)? Are you prepared to save an employee from sudden cardiac arrest?

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) happens in a split second. If a colleague collapses, the clock starts ticking in the race to restore a normal rhythm to their heart. What do you do?

ZOLL AEDsA rescuer armed with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), who performs CPR, is the victim’s best chance of survival until medical personnel arrive.

Is your workplace prepared to respond to sudden cardiac arrest? With a ZOLL AED and quick action, tragedy can be averted.

While only half of sudden cardiac arrest victims will initially need a shock, all will require high-quality CPR to increase the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart and brain. But how can rescuers know if they are providing high-quality CPR?

All ZOLL AEDs are equipped with Real CPR Help technology, letting rescuers know that they are doing compressions at the most effective rate and depth. The AED’s integrated real‑time feedback eliminates guesswork and provides rescuers with visual and audio prompts to ‘push harder’ or will let them know when they are doing ‘good compressions’, keeping rescuers on track to administer high-quality CPR.

Learn more about ZOLL AEDs and how they can help save the lives of your employees in its flyer, ‘Five reasons your workplace needs an AED’.

Why would an AED be part of a covid H&S plan? There is no evidence that I’ve seen that links early stage Covid19 to heart attacks. If someone is so ill with Covid that they are at risk of heart failure, why on earth are they in work?

Is it only a Zoll AED or will other brands work?
