Head protection- Keep your options open
Choosing the correct head protection is hugely important in the construction industry.
This is according to PPE specialist JSP, which says its Mark VI/V11 helmets have been designed with comfort, performance and style in mind, and incorporate a host of innovative features.
Three options are available: Ventilation Option – the non-ventilated format is said to provide insulation against electrical hazards, while the ventilated format is said to ensure maximum convection of heat away from the wearer and allow fresh air to circulate; the Adjustment Option – JSP says the new EasyJust® slip-ratchet sizing system allows for intuitive adjustment of the harness, while the Push and Twist Lock™ system comprises a comfortable foam-backed wheel-adjustment system; Peak Options – the standard-peak version provides sun and wet-weather protection, while the short-peak version is ideal for working at height, or surveying. The helmets come with integral safety eyewear in the form of the new Sureslide® Retractaspec Visor system – a drop-down visor said to provide protection to EN 166 1F.
