Fuel-efficient driving – Econo Driver training course
AA DriveTech is to provide a dedicated fuel-economy driving course as part of Ford’s recently-announced Econo Check initiative.
The Econo Driver training course, which, AA DriveTech says, is provided on a nationwide basis by its highly-qualified corporate trainers, addresses the issues highlighted in drivers’ personalised reports from the Econo Check system. The company is confident that significant fuel-economy improvements should be achievable after drivers complete the course. For example, it suggests that drivers of small petrol-engine cars doing about 250 miles a week could expect payback of the course cost in around 20 weeks.
“With the AA predicting that fuel prices will reach record levels by January, there has never been a better time to hone your driving skills and reap the rewards,” says Paul Holmes, AA DriveTech’s fleet director.
