Blank it out
Industrial software company DLoG has introduced a new function to its MPC 6 and IPC 7 vehicle-mounted terminals, designed, it claims, to increase safety, efficiency and cost savings.
The optional safety feature enables the screen of the terminal to automatically switch to blank mode while the truck is in motion, or when the lift mechanism is operated, preventing driver distraction.
Installation of the screen-blanking function can be customised to meet the requirements of different vehicles, while a time-delay function is incorporated in the software. The feature will also be available on DLoG’s X-series terminals later this year.
