Astutis expands health and safety training with the launch of OnlinePlus+

A new NEBOSH General Certificate OnlinePlus+ training course has been launched by Astutis, in response to an influx of demand from health and safety professionals.

OnlinePlusThe OnlinePlus+ course, unique to Astutis, bridges the gap between the classroom and online learning, and is said to present the very best in blended learning – the perfect match of real-time tutor webinars with online training.

The program of scheduled webinars sits alongside the Astutis online learning course, ensuring that each learner has the optimum chance of developing vital skills at home during the COVID-19 lockdown, and beyond. The OnlinePlus+ approach is already available across a suite of NEBOSH, IEMA and IOSH courses too.

As part of the course development, Astutis said it took inspiration from a variety of educational approaches as well as feedback from its customers. Encouraging participation, the new course focuses on every part of the learning journey to create a positive, personalised, engaging user experience.

Managing Director, Steve Terry, said: “Our online learning suite of health, safety and environmental training courses continue to expand, providing more content than ever before. We have listened to our customers and designed an OnlinePlus+ learning journey that is digestible, a breeze to navigate, and meticulously considered for the most streamlined experience. Our approach is as always, to remain fully supportive to our customers by providing the latest product training methods with the best advice and support.”

The course includes eight scheduled learning webinars with each one lasting approximately two hours each, delivered live by NEBOSH qualified examiner. The tutorials are recorded so learners can easily watch again to consolidate their knowledge or watch when convenient.

Technical Director, and Course Designer, Brenig Moore, added: “One of the unique advantages of the course is that it offers enhanced flexibility – you can control when and where you learn. By self-monitoring your time and pacing, you can spend more time on unfamiliar or difficult subjects.”

The online course elements include on-demand how-to videos and interactive exercises. The special inbuilt course tools, Astutis TrackSmart, and ExamSmart help learners develop personalised learning plans and help prepare to pass exams first-time.
