3M sponsors Young Hygienist award
BOHS, The Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection, has announced that 3M is to sponsor the Young Hygienist Award for a fourth year as the competition for 2016 opens for entries.
Aimed at young professionals working in the field of worker health protection, the award rewards talent and encourages professional development, says BOHS. This year, the competition is about promoting the occupational hygiene profession to the younger generation and entrants are being asked to develop and share materials to do this, they add.
The prize is an all expenses paid trip to the prestigious AIHcE Conference taking place in Baltimore, U.S., 21 – 26 May 2016 and one year’s free BOHS membership.
Alan McArthur of 3M says: “We are delighted to partner with BOHS on this award. Occupational hygiene expertise is vital if we are to continue in our efforts to raise standards in how the health of our workers is being protected. Through this award we hope we can not only reward the talent amongst the young professionals in the sector but also encourage others to consider entering this important field”.
The competition closes on 8 January 2016.
