Noise and vibration qualifications – Institute of Acoustics
The Institute of Acoustics has announced it is holding the exam fees for its 2010/11 short courses at last year’s rates.
That means fees for the Certificates of Competence in Workplace Noise Risk Assessment, Environmental Noise Measurement and Management of Occupational Exposure to Hand-Arm Vibration remain at £180 each.
The courses are five days long and there are accredited centres in Ireland (Dublin and Naas), Sheffield and Edinburgh to guide students through areas such as workplace noise risk assessment, environmental noise measurement, and hand-arm vibration hazards in the workplace.
The IOA’s Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control is also available and can be studied on a part-time basis, over one year, or via a tutored distance-learning scheme.
To find out more about any of the courses, tuition fees, and exam dates, visit www.ioa.org.uk
