The Health and Safety Executive have begun an investigation after a worker died on a building site in Essex on Monday afternoon.

The ground worker was killed after a construction vehicle overturned on the Summer Park site on Coxs Hill in Lawford, Essex on the 3rd October.

Rose Builders, who are building 150 homes on the Summers Park site are said to be assisting the regulator with their investigation.

Steven Rose, owner of Rose Builders said: “For the moment, all our thoughts are with the man’s family.”

Witnesses described seeing an air ambulance land and the crew spent an hour at the site before leaving.

An over-turned construction vehicle can still be seen in the middle of the building site.

Police confirmed that the man who died was in his thirties and from Clacton. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
