Well Done- Fleet Safety Forum Awards
The awards are run by the Fleet Safety Forum, a division of road safety charity Brake, and were sponsored by fleet management company ARVAL. The event was held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire and there were 43 winning or highly commended awards in a wide range of categories.Award winners included Gateshead Council ¬– safe vehicle award, Fleet Support Group Ltd ¬– fleet safety provider of the year award, and the award for road risk manager of the year was shared between Mike Stockton from Royal Mail and Peter Larner from J W Suckling Transport.Fleet safety manager at Brake Roz Cumming said: “The Fleet Safety Forum Awards for Excellence 2009 was a great success. Organisations setting the standards for fleet safety were recognised for their achievements. Brake congratulates all of the winners on their well-deserved awards. It’s fantastic to be able to recognise companies that are helping to driving down crash and casualty rates by constantly striving to raise the bar of fleet safety best practice.”
