Well done- Cadbury worker wins personal safety award
The awards were established by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to recognise the achievements of organisations, workplaces, and individuals in promoting personal safety. Cadbury UK’s Nigel Flint received his award at the Trust’s Annual Gala Evening, which was held at the Hilton Tower Bridge, London on 21 November.Mr Flint was recognised after approaching the Cadbury board to secure a budget to improve the personal safety of the firm’s sales staff. The shortlist for the award included Leicester City Council’s Helen Stewart and Julie Flaherty from Epiliepsy Connection.Suzy Lamplugh Trust director of personal safety, Ann Elledge, said: “We were extremely impressed by the calibre of nominees this year and Nigel is a deserving winner amongst very strong competition.“Nigel particularly impressed the judges with his commitment to making a real difference to the personal safety of Cadbury sales staff, which goes above and beyond the minimum requirements and saw him pestering his board with passion to secure the necessary budget and driving to communicate the importance of personal safety throughout the organisation.”
