Tool distributor searches for oldest catalogue
The company is launching its latest catalogue in January 2010, and is in possession of original editions dating back to the mid 1890’s but believes there are versions that are even older. It is now appealing to customers to get in touch if they are in possession of catalogues predating 1894. The customer who sends in the oldest catalogue will win £1000 of free tools.Buck and Hickman managing director, Howard Luft, said: “In putting together our latest 2010 catalogue we’ve included a review of the company’s history to-date and we already know that many of our original editions are collector’s items. While a lot of the key company milestones are known there’s nothing in the archives to indicate when the first Buck & Hickman catalogue was actually published so we are appealing to anyone with a catalogue older than the 1894 edition to get in touch with us.“We’re offering £1,000 in free tools for the oldest edition we can identify and the winner will be free to choose anything they want from our latest catalogue range. There’ll also be some great runners-up prizes so if you’ve got an old catalogue then do please get in touch.”For more information, or to enter visit www.buckandhickman.com
