SHE 12 – BSIF honours industry’s finest
The winners of this year’s BSIF Safety Awards were announced at Safety and Health Expo, which took place at the NEC Birmingham last week.
The awards recognise the innovation and development of products and initiatives aimed at reducing workplace accidents. As is tradition, there were three award categories: the BSIF Service Awards, the BSIF Safety Excellence Awards, and the Product Innovation Awards.
The winners and finalists for each category were:
BSIF Service Awards Award Winner – Guardsman Ltd;
Highly Commended – Simon Safety & Lifting Centre Ltd;
Highly Commended – Arco Ltd;
Commended – The McOnie Agency;
Commended – WC Willis & Co Ltd.
BSIF Excellence Awards
Winners – DuPont Sustainable Solutions, for its Safestart programme; and GreenRoad Technologies, for its Speed by Speed Zone project.
BSIF Product Innovation Awards
Winner – Latchways plc, for the R20 Personal Rescue Device;
Highly Commended – Scaffolding Solutions Ltd’s Skafftray
Highly Commended – Lyon Equipment Ltd’s Edge Guard;
Commended – 3M UK plc’s Aura Disposable Respirators;
Commended – Honeywell’s Adaptec Protective Eyewear.
BSIF chief executive David Lummis said: “We would like to congratulate the winners, who illustrated a continuous commitment to improving the safety industry, whether in the creative design of a product, the introduction of a scheme or initiative, or the service provided by a supplier, manufacturer or distributor for their customers.
“The BSIF Safety Awards continue to underline the Federation’s dedication to the highest standards in regard to the supply of occupational health and safety products and services.”
