New Arco website wins award
Supplier of workplace safety products Arco has won the outstanding website innovation and performance (B2B) award at the European Catalogue and Mail Order Industry awards.
The award recognises Arco’s commitment to improving and enhancing its website, which now accounts for 22 per cent of all sales transactions. The site was recognised for offering an efficient, easy to use, low cost channel for ordering safety products and equipment. New features and functions such as click and collect and an online bespoke embroidery service have resulted in a user friendly site, which has attracted significant new business for Arco from national corporations.
Arco e-Business Manager, Ian Millar, said: “We are delighted that our website has been recognised by ECMOD with this Award. Our first transactional website was launched in October 1999 and formed the foundations of our website today.
“We have continually developed the site to offer improved functionality and features based on what we know our customers require. It also provides us with a unique tool to attract new customers, as proved by an increase in visitor volumes to the site of 120 per cent year-on-year.”
